You probably haven’t even thought about turning on your heater since February.
But it’s November now - late November, actually. The weather’s been getting noticeably cooler over the last few weeks - and it’s only going to continue. It won’t be long before we’re putting blankets over our plants at night to protect them from overnight frost.
Naturally, you’ll want to keep yourself nice and warm on those nights as well, which means you’ll want your heater performing at its peak. But if it hasn’t run since President’s Day, you’ll need to make sure.
It’s actually pretty common for a heater to start acting up after a long rest. For example, maybe the heater won’t run at all. Or maybe you can get it to turn on, but it won’t stay running for more than a minute or two. It could also be pushing air through the vents just fine - but that air isn’t any warmer than the air outside.
Heaters are complex pieces of machinery, and each of these issues could be a symptom for more than one underlying problem.
But don't worry. The good news is, testing your heater is something you can do yourself - if you know what to look for.
Luckily, Easy A/C can help with that. Just call us and we'll walk you through it. (Don't worry, we promise it's not complicated.) When you're done, we should have a pretty good idea of what it is that ails your heater - and how to fix it.
